Its completely insane that Boston went into a homeland security hysteria over a guerrilla marketing campaign for my
favorite show, thinking that some magnetic light up signs are bombs or something rediculous.
But its total and complete bullshit that they are now charging the local artist who was hired by the Turner broadcasting network for placing these signs with a felony for some trumped up charge of placing a hoax bomb. In fact its completely embarassing. I like to think that I'm pretty cynical when it comes to government ineptitude, but this level of fear mongering insanity just redefines everything.

I just noticed that the ski mountain I spent nearly every winter weekend at during highschool has deployed Brightcove video on their site! Very cool, and a much needed upgrade from the tired old webcam shots they've been using for so long. I'm not quite sure how they managed to make it appear as if they actually have snow, because eyewitness reports have informed me that there was little of it to be found when these videos were made. Must be all that snowmaking technology in action.

I went to the
New England Aquarium last week and took a few photos. The line was really long, so went inside and became members (tax deductible!) in order to skip it.

A few more photos here:
flickr.com/photos/nattarbox. I'm going to resize this column so I can use the Flickr auto-blog-post-o-matic function to send photos here at their full size.

My buddy at
work just put up a new site,
www.design-feed.net:
"Design-Feed is a design feed aggregator. We hand-pick the most interesting design related RSS feeds and present them in an easy-to-browse format."
Update: seems to be quite a day for Brightcove employee personal site launches. Eric brings us
www.quickrisotto.com, a site for Risotto recipes and videos. And I guess this is the first real post on my new blog, so yay for me too.
